This multimedia piece is 10in. x 8in. and is made from canvas, modeling paste, air dry clay, clear gesso, glue, and oil paint. I sculpted the water lily from clay and attached it to the canvas. The water ripples were achieved by smearing and pinching the modeling paste onto the canvas (this was a struggle). It was very difficult to work with the oil paint on the uneven and gritty surface of the paste but all in all, I consider this piece pretty special. Sadly, this is another painting where I used Caster oil and Jojoba oil. Needless to say, it’s also chronically wet.
